Adoption Specials
* Senior 4 Senior adoption program. Do you know a senior citizen who's battling loneliness? Emotionally, pets can bring new meaning and purpose to the life of a senior who is living alone. The unconditional love and commitment a pet can provide to his owner is almost like free therapy. Having a pet in an elderly person's life can offer them a sense of well being, a sense of encouragement, and even a reason for living. In addition to easing loneliness, pets may also make seniors healthier. Studies suggest that contact with animals can lower blood pressure, decrease stress, reduce bone loss, lower cholesterol levels, and improve blood circulation. Please call the shelter at 665-2209 for details about our Senior 4 Senior adoption program.
